Hands of Compassion Children’s Home is part of our community in Lanseria and accommodates 36 children. Our children are in “family” units cared for by qualified child and youth care workers.
Volunteers assist with tutoring, outings, birthdays, and arts and crafts classes. Our sport and recreational activities include a swimming pool, running track, trampoline, punching bag, outside chess board, tennis court, soccer, snooker table, fuzzball table, table tennis, board games, and a library.
Our resident social worker works together with the children and their families, offering counselling and training.
Our focus is to stabilise our children and offer them hope and inspiration to develop into responsible and happy adults. Our ultimate aim is to re-unite the families and equip them so they in turn may build their future together.
